Employment
B2W Software (a Trimble Company)
Position: Systems Support Specialist
Year(s) Active: 2023 – Present
Summary: Technical Support (and later Systems Support Specialist) for B2W Software’s support team. Handled resolving customer’s technical problems and guiding customers through the usage of our software and its more intimate features such as SQL Server setup and configuration, and Windows Server management. Though “Technical Support”, our role comprised a variety of duties and no tiering system existed – we all served after training as effective Support Technicians for all levels of need from simple user issues to complex Kerberos environment troubleshooting.
I personally also specialized in assistance with API related questions, and took time to learn the API for our software in order to better assist customers attempting to query data from SQL in order to produce reports in Microsoft Report Builder and other 3rd party applications.
Contract
Sakura Games
Position / Job: Japanese to English Translator
Summary: Hired in 2022 as a contractor to attempt to repair a broken translation which a Chinese-made Japanese to English translation software had produced. Worked for ~6 months on the translation, however their license expired with the company who they were translating for (La’cryma) and the translation without my edits and proofreading was shipped. Paid in full for time worked.
Game Design
Specialties
Roleplaying Games: I have an intimate knowledge and appreciation of roleplaying games, from tabletop RPGs to action RPGs and strategy RPGs. I have written and designed tabletop roleplaying games since 2015, and have attempted to incorporate RPG-type elements into game projects where applicable.
Strategy Games: Covering various genres of strategy from Grand Strategy / 4X games like Crusader Kings to turn-based strategy roleplaying games like Fire Emblem. I want to make sure my projects feel as impactful as these games make me feel when playing them, including surprising players and making them feel smart with their decision making.
