Background
I’m a game programmer and software developer with a focus on game systems: the rules, mechanics, and tools that shape how a game plays. My work spans video games built in Unity, original tabletop roleplaying games, and Foundry Virtual Tabletop systems that let groups play those games online.
Professionally, I spent nearly four years as a Systems Support Specialist at B2W Software, where I resolved SQL database errors and application crashes for the company’s construction bidding and operations software and built custom reports with SQL and Microsoft Report Builder. Most recently, I worked as a contract Software Engineer at Nubble Siteworks, developing features and fixes for the SiteBoss mobile app.
Outside of work, I design and develop my own projects. I wrote and published The Fade — Abyss, a d12 dice-pool tabletop RPG, and built its Foundry VTT system in JavaScript. I’ve also developed Foundry VTT systems for several other tabletop games, and a playable demo of Blood & Soil, a strategy game and visual novel made in Unity.
I speak English natively and Japanese at an advanced level (JLPT N3), and I’ve worked as a Japanese-to-English translator for game text.
